Garden Mums
Bloom Definitions
- Anemone bloom: Daisy mum with a decorative type crested
center.
- Daisy bloom: Typical daisy-like look with a distinct center
and longer petals surrounding it
- Decorative bloom: In bloom it has a similar look to a carnation.
The most popular bloom type on the market.
- Pompon bloom: Small numerous compact blooms with a round
shape.
- Spider bloom: Decorative bloom with quilled petals
Bloom Dates
- Early (E)- Blooms late August to early September
- Middle (M)- Blooms mid/late September
- Late (L)- Blooms early October
- Season Extenders (SE)- Blooms mid to late October
Color Recommendations
- Yellow is the largest seller on the market and therefore the
highest percentage of our crop is dedicated to yellow
- Pink/Lavender is the second most popular color on the market
and we find you can plan on 20% of your sells being this color.
- Red and White move equally as well and retailers in most
markets sell about 15% of each
- We find the avid gardener also enjoys finding colors that are not
so "run of the mill" therefore we carry an excellent selection of other colors
as well.
